5 great things about Audio Books
Over the last few months I've been listening to Audio books. The idea was to see If the experience is similar to reading a hardcopy book or better in a way. I have had some people sending me audiobooks but never listen to them because I preferred reading hardcopy books.
After listening to 5 audio books these are the positive things I have to say about them:
If you read a lot you will realise you spend a lot of money on buying books. Yes you can borrow books from the library or exchange with friends but some books are just worth keeping. Audio books are slightly cheaper than Hard copies.
I love narrations and storytelling. Listening to someone reading to me is something I enjoy, the experience is out of this world. Here you get to understand all the emphases on specific passages of the book. It's even better when the author reads the books as he/she knows exactly what he/she was trying to communicate.
Of-course you can finish the book earlier than you would when reading it yourself. If you have a long list of books to go through you might consider getting them on audio so you finish the pile quicker. I know there are those books you enjoy reading and wish you can read them forever but the feeling of finishing a book is also great.
Audio books are easy to share (But please check copyright before sharing). The advantage of this is that you don't have to wait until you finish reading a book to share with friends or exchange. One more thing is that you don't have to worry about anyone not bringing back your book and getting it back in a bad condition.
Audio books are great on long trips as you get to enjoy driving while listening to great stories. Try a 4 hour trip while listening a great read, the experience is great it also enhances the enjoyment of the trip.
