5 Calculator Apps to help you plan smarter

We are a generation that's obsessed with calculating and analysing everything we do. It can be time or money, we need to calculate and see how much we utilise. By so doing we can improve how we make use of what we have.
In this article we look at some of the most useful calculators you can download on your devices. These calculators are meant to assist you in finding figures, analysing and planning. And here is the list:

Daily Life Calculator
I discovered this calculator a few weeks back and I must say it is very handy. It is basically a pack of multiple calculators in one. The pack includes: Units converter, Anniversary reminder, Fuel Efficiency reminder, Health Calculator and more. The list is a bit longer but I found 2 of the calculators interesting: Discount Calculator and Time Zone Calculator. I love discounts, in fact on one of the articles Ways to buy stuff much cheaper I emphasised on it. You can determine exactly how much you are saving when offered a discount in percentages. Don't be fooled by the percentage, there's a reason why stores would sometimes show the percentage on discount offers instead of showing the amount. Time Zone calculator is also useful, if you are travelling or you need to stream live content. I've used this a lot when I have to attend international webinars, it helps me determine my local time.
Percentage calculator
You could be asking yourself why I included this calculator but not everybody is clued up on what the formula for calculating percentage is. Even if you know the formula you need something quicker to calculate and this calculator can do that.
Scientific Calculator:
There are a couple of scientific calculators you can pick up from your app store. When I was in high school and varsity a scientific calculator was one of the tools i needed the most. Now with a smartphone you can choose to download a scientific calculator rather than buying a physical one.
Bond Calculator
If you are planning on buying a house this app can be useful. You simply punch in the cost of the house you want to buy, the deposit and number of years you are willing to pay off the house. The calculator will bring you figures including the monthly instalments as well as other amounts required for a bond that you probably didn't know of especially if you are a first time buyer. I am talking about amounts such as Indemnity Fee, Petties and Rates Clearance.
Lobola Calculator
Of-course you have heard about this one. This app has raised some talks and people did not see it coming. I have no idea how Lobola negotiations are done or how the price is determined. I don't even remember attending a Lobola ceremony. I only have little knowledge that I have acquired from people. However I downloaded this app because it was trending. I must say I thought It was cool. When you open the app it asks you for your gender (which I still don't understand why). But this does not change the fact that I think it's cool. For the ladies you will be asked to fill in a form with attributes such as Beauty, Qualifications, Age & Height. After you hit show results the app will tell you how much you are worth. What I liked was the fact that it also converts the amount to the number of cows. In addition the app shows Lobola average costs from different places. And after doing my calculations I must say it was interesting to know that my ideal wife might cost me about R 70 000 (9 live cows).

All the apps are available on different app stores. Visit your app store to see if the calculator you need is available.
